Recently, the company entered into a definitive merger agreement with The Stanley Works to form Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., a leading power tool company with pro forma revenues of 8.4 billion in 2009. The merger is expected to complete in the first half of 2010.The company reported revenue of (U.S. Dollars) USD 4,775.10 million during the fiscal year ended December 2009, a decrease of 21.54% over 2008. The company recorded an operating profit of USD 249.40 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 40.91% over 2008. The company posted a net profit of USD 132.50 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 54.87% over 2008.
