TI operates in four segments, namely, Analog, Embedded Processing, Wireless and Other. The company sells two general categories of semiconductor products, including custom and standard. Custom products are designed specifically for a specific customer and are sold directly to that customer. Standard products are designed for many customers and for many applications and are generally sold through both direct and distribution channels. TI holds about 67 subsidiaries operating throughout the world. The company has design, manufacturing and sales operations in over 30 countries around the world. It is headquartered in Texas, the US.The company reported revenues of (U.S. Dollars) USD 10,427.00 million during the fiscal year ended December 2009, a decrease of 16.59% from 2008. The operating profit of the company was USD 1,991.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 18.30% from 2008. The net profit of the company was USD 1,470.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 23.44% from 2008.
