Navarre Corporation (Navarre) is engaged in the publishing and distribution of physical and digital home entertainment and multimedia products, including DVD video, PC software, video games and accessories. Navarre develops, licenses and publishes home entertainment and multimedia content through its subsidiaries, Encore, BCI, and FUNimation. The company has long term distribution relationships with retailers across specialty, mass merchant and wholesale club channels, including Wal-Mart/Sam`s Club, Staples, Circuit City, Best Buy and Office Depot. It distributes to more than 19,000 retail and distribution center locations throughout the US and Canada. It also supplies products to smaller independent retailers and through its business-to-business website, www.navarre.com. Navarre principally operates in the US and Canada. It is headquartered at New Hope, Minnesota in the US.The company reported revenues of (U.S. Dollars) USD 630.99 million during the fiscal year ended March 2009, a decrease of 4.17% from 2008. The operating loss of the company was USD 98.07 million during the fiscal year 2009, as against an operating income of USD 17.83 million during 2008. The net loss of the company was USD 88.43 million during the fiscal year 2009, as against a net profit of USD 9.66 million during 2008.
