OCP Ecuador S.A. (OCP Ecuador) is an oil transportation company. It is involved in the operating transport system for heavy crude oil as well as transporting the crude oil produced by companies. It mainly provides services to private oil companies namely Andes Petroleum, Repsol-YPF, Petrobras y Perenco. OCP Ecuador was authorized by the Ecuadorian State to build the Oleoducto de Crudos Pesados (OCP), which is the second pipeline in Ecuado. OCP pipeline is the second pipeline that exists in Ecuador, and it is the only one which exclusively involves in transporting of heavy crude oil of 18 to 24 degrees API. It has operations throughout in Ecuador. The company is headquartered at Quito in Ecuador.
Its pipeline was designed with a capacity of 310 thousand barrels per day and is expanded to 450 thousand barrels per day. OCP Ecuador can carry a peak volume of 517,241 barrels per day. It currently transports crude oil produced by oil companies. It began operating in 2003.
