Mercator Lines Limited (Mercator Lines) is a shipping company. It is engaged in the transportation of crude oil in India and overseas. It operates through five business divisions namely shipping, offshore, dredging, logistics solutions and mining. Mercator Lines owns and operates combination of vessels ranging from bulk carriers, medium range vessels and Aframax to VLCC. Mercator Lines has forayed into the Oil & Gas Offshore business through its subsidiaries and placed an order for construction of new generation Jack-up rig. It has seven wholly owned subsidiaries namely Mercator International Pte. Ltd., Mercator Offshore Ltd., Mercator Lines (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Varsha Marine Pte. Ltd., Vidya Marine Pte. Ltd. Mercator Lines (Panama) Inc., and Mercator Oil&Gas Ltd. The company owns and operates a fleet of vehicles which includes nine shipping tankers, 16 dry bulk carriers, one rig under its oil & gas services and exploration business, two flouting production units and four dredgers. The company under its mining business owns and operates three coal mine of which two are located in Indonesia and one in Africa. Mercator Lines is headquartered at Mumbai, India.
