China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO) is an international shipping carrier in China. It is engaged in storage and transportation of crude oil. It serves as an international giant, specializing in shipping and modern logistics, serving as a shipping agency and providing with services in freight forwarding, shipbuilding, ship repairing, terminal operation, trade, financing, real estate and IT industry. It owns and operates merchant fleet of some 600 vessels with an overall capacity of 35 million deadweight tons. It maintains facilities in more than 160 countries around the world. In addition, the company is also engaged in freight forwarding, logistics, real estate, ship building and repairing, container manufacturing, and terminal operations. COSCO is headquartered at Beijing, China.
