Wincanton will utilize its national transport network to distribute Miller Brands’ distinct range of imported premium lagers, including Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell and Miller Genuine Draft.
SABMiller is engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of beverages. The company is a holding company, which has brewing and beverage interests across six continents: Latin America, Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and South Africa.
Martin Harlow, supply chain director of Miller Brands (UK), said: “We are delighted to be renewing our contract with Wincanton. When we launched Miller Brands’ products in the UK five years ago we were entirely new to the market and Wincanton has been with us right from the start. In fact, I have Wincanton’s first delivery note to a supermarket in Northamptonshire framed on my desk.â€
Chris Kingshott, managing director of manufacturing at Wincanton, said: “The renewal of our contract with Miller Brands is testament to the close working relationship we’ve built with the company and the strength of our transport network. The scale, flexibility and efficiencies of our national transport infrastructure give Wincanton a market-leading platform for the delivery of operational and environmental benefits for our customers.â€
