The Swedish Defense Industry: Market Opportunities and Entry Strategies, Analyses and Forecasts to 2016

On average, Sweden allocated 1.32% of its GDP for defense expenditure during the review period. However, military expenditure as a percentage of GDP is expected to decrease to an average of 1.1% during the forecast period, as the country’s annual GDP growth rate is larger than the predicted growth rate of the Swedish defense budget.
The defense budget of Sweden is estimated at US$6.46 billion in 2011, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.17% during the forecast period, to reach US$7.2 billion by 2016.
