Slough Estates acquires logistics platform from ThyssenKrupp
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999The site is located in Krefeld, west of Dusseldorf, in close proximity to the airport, and has direct access to the A44 motorway. The site will also be connected to the surrounding railway network. SEI will develop 117,000 square meters of light industrial and logistics accommodation in six buildings in a low density environmentally sensitive scheme. The delivery of the first phase is anticipated for 2007. SEI general manager in Germany Dr Udo Titz said, "We are extremely pleased to have been able to acquire this prime site for a logistics platform and look forward to developing out a first class logistics scheme. We believe this acquisition complements our existing portfolio and development pipeline." Elsewhere in continental Europe, Slough Estates International's main interests are in Belgium, Germany, France, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
