Pacer Q4 Revenues Down
By NS Admin Published 10 February 2011Net loss was $1.1m for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to a net income of $9.3m for the same period in 2009. Selling, general and administrative expenses were $39.4m, compared to $45.4m for the same period in 2009.
Total operating expenses were $372.3m for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to $401.9m for the same period in 2009.
For the twelve months ended December 31, 2010, revenues were $1.5 billion, compared to $1.57 billion for the same period in 2009. Net income was $0.9m, compared to a net loss of $174.8m for the same period in 2009.
Selling, general and administrative expenses were $153.2m for the twelve months of 2010, compared to of $186m for the same period in 2009. Total operating expenses were $1.49 billion, compared to $1.79 billion for the same period in 2009.
The firm expects revenue to grow between six percent and eight percent over 2010 driven by continued growth in our intermodal and international logistics businesses. Earnings per share are projected to range between $0.25 and $0.30 per share.
John Hafferty, CFO of Pacer International, said: “"Our 2010 earnings per share increased from a loss of $5.03 to income of $0.03, and excluding significant items affecting comparability, our earnings per share increased $0.75 from a loss per share of $0.60 in 2009. This earnings increase is reflective of the hard work we have put into our transformation, and in laying a strong foundation for future success.â€
