City of Mesa Selects CGI’s AMS Advantage ERP

The CityEdge project is valued at $15.6m over five years for software, services, and maintenance.

The project will transform the city’s business systems by eliminating the current siloed environment that houses its legacy financial, personnel, payroll, and timekeeping systems.

With AMS Advantage, the City will implement a fully-integrated solution with a single source of data that is critical to drive timely business decisions and meet the needs of increased transparency and accountability in government.

Chris Brady, city manager of the City of Mesa, said: “This project represents one of the largest business process changes in the history of the city. As a full-service, local government with a billion dollar plus budget, Mesa requires a technology solution with sufficient capabilities for our size and breadth of services that is also built for the unique needs of government operations.

“We fully expect the AMS Advantage solution will dramatically reduce the need for City-specific customizations, enable operational efficiencies, and expand our capabilities as we move to a single solution for financial management, budgeting, and human resource management.”

Daniel Keene, vice-president of AMS Advantage program at CGI, said: “CGI’s AMS Advantage provides the best-fit, lowest-risk ERP solution available to state and local government. We are honored to welcome another major Arizona municipality to the AMS Advantage client community.

“CGI looks forward to building a long-term partnership with the City of Mesa and helping them meet their transformation goals.”

Will the selection enhance the city's operational efficiency?
