HMI to Launch Middle East Edition of Cosmopolitan
By NS Admin Published 06 January 2011Cosmopolitan Middle East will be published in partnership with ITP Consumer Publishing, the Middle East's consumer and business magazine publisher, with whom HMI already partners to publish Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire in the region.
Cosmopolitan Middle East will be aimed at a young, female audience and will offer its fun and fearless readers information on every aspect of their lives from fashion and beauty, to relationships and romance, to the latest on women’s health and well-being, as well as what’s happening in pop culture and entertainment.
Cosmopolitan Middle East will be circulated across the GCC and Lebanon, available at all major retail outlets. The Middle East will be the 62nd edition of Cosmopolitan and the third Hearst brand that ITP has brought to the region.
Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Group Holdings, said: “The Middle East has one of the youngest populations in the world so introducing a local edition of the world’s best-selling magazine for young women seems an obvious decision. Cosmopolitan is a colossal brand and we are looking forward to launching and developing it in this region.â€
Duncan Edwards, president and CEO of HMI, said: “We are pleased to be launching Cosmopolitan Middle East and believe it will resonate well with young women in the region. As we have had success with ITP Consumer on the Middle East edition of Harper’s Bazaar, we know that they are truly a best-in-class publishing partner.â€
Will the new magazine enhance HMI's market share in the Middle East?
