Hearst Names VP of Advertising for Northeast Cluster
In this newly created role, Mr Hall will assume the top advertising sales leadership position for Hearstâ€™s Northeast newspapers, reporting to Mark Aldam, executive vice president of the company.
Mr Hall will be based in Connecticut and have a hands-on role in managing the network sales operations for the Connecticut Post, The Advocate (Stamford), Greenwich Time (Greenwich), The News-Times (Danbury) and Hearstâ€™s seven weekly papers in the state, including the Darien News, Greenwich Citizen, Fairfield Citizen, New Canaan News, New Milford Spectrum, Norwalk Citizen and Westport News.
Mr Hall will also coordinate the strategic sales direction and oversee sales execution for the Albany Times Union division working closely with Hearst.
Previously, Mr Hall was vice president of advertising for Des Moines Register Media. He joined the Des Moines Register in 2003 and before that was advertising director of The Idaho Statesman since 2001.
From 1997 to 2000, Mr Hall was retail advertising manager for The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
