Critical Media Expands Into UK
Critical Mention is a division of Critical Media and the first real-time TV and radio intelligence platform. The Critical Mention real-time TV and radio search platform already ingests content from more than 1,000 media sources around the world, including from all 210 US television markets, Canada and the Middle East.
The addition of BBC positions the platform as the powerful and comprehensive capture network in the US, Canada and the UK, digitizing and indexing in real-time more than 30 hours of TV and radio content from around the world every 60 seconds.
By delivering real time alerts from the broadcaster to the desktop of business intelligence professionals, Critical Mention clients can now react and make business decisions in real-time with more information at their fingertips.
BBC content will initially be offered to Critical Mention's existing client base, and then the company will begin to offer its services in the UK directly.
Critical Media and its core products, Critical Mention, ClipSyndicate and Syndicaster, enable the monitoring, identification, distribution and monetization of broadcast content via the web in real-time.
Sean Morgan, president and CEO of Critical Media, said: “Today's global economy demands that companies and brand managers know and understand the pulse of media in significant markets abroad. The BBC is one of the most important news and information sources in the world and Critical Mention's expansion into the UK market helps to drive all BBC national and regional TV and radio into the actionable news category.â€
