Cosmopolitan TV to Launch in HD in Spain
By NS Admin Published 21 January 2011Launched in partnership with leading pay TV operator Digital +, the Cosmopolitan HD channel will broadcast movies and TV series.
Modeled after the successful Cosmopolitan magazine brand with international appeal, it is the only pay TV channel completely devoted to women, offering a wide range of movies, TV series and special content surrounding shopping and movie reviews.
Cosmopolitan Television Iberia, owned and operated by Hearst Entertainment & Syndication, a unit of Hearst Corporation, launched in Spain in March 2000. The network reaches approximately three million Spanish homes via satellite and cable TV. Cosmopolitan TV is also available in Latin America and Canada.
Hearst Entertainment & Syndication is responsible for Hearst's interests in cable television networks, television production and distribution, newspaper syndication and merchandise licensing. Hearst owns substantial stakes in ESPN; A&E Television Networks, including the A&E, History and Biography channels; Lifetime; and international Cosmopolitan channels.
