CC Media Q4 Revenue Up 8%
By NS Admin Published 08 February 2011Net loss attributable to the company was $62.66m for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to a net income attributable to the company of $147.39m for the same period in 2009. Operating income was $301.23m, compared to $62.07m for the same period in 2009.
For the twelve months ended December 31, 2010, revenue was $5.86 billion, compared to $5.55 billion for the same period in 2009. Net loss attributable to the company was $479.08m, compared to $4.03 billion for the same period in 2009.
Operating income was $864.84m for the twelve months of 2010, compared to an operating loss of $3.68 billion for the same period in 2009.
For the twelve months of 2010, radio revenues increased $162m, or six percent, from local and national revenues on improved rates. Americas outdoor revenues increased $52m, or four percent, across products, particularly digital, on improved rates and occupancy.
Excluding the impact of the disposition of the company’s Taxi Media business, and excluding the effects of foreign exchange, revenues were up $82m, or seven percent.
Mark Mays, president and CEO of CC Media Holdings, said: “We drove considerable improvement in the operating fundamentals of both our radio and outdoor platforms as we benefited from a recovering global economy, increasing revenues and improving margins. This all led to healthy growth in our cash flows for 2010.â€
