MEDMIX Develops New Range of Syringes
By NS Admin Published 31 May 2011The new syringes, which are available in 3cc, 14cc and 40cc volumes, are used in the preparation of bone graft, autograft, allograft or synthetic variants thereof.
Andreas Kees, managing director of MEDMIX, said: “Main target of this product development is to provide the surgeon with a high quality syringe for precise and comfortable application of any kind of graft material.â€
Apart from prevention of needlestick injuries, the new graft application device with threaded luer cap allows an easy-to-use connection with any luer device. The company claims that its safety transfer devices are build to safely open and transfer liquids from ampoules or vials to the syringe due to its needless design.
Andy Greter, director of technology at MEDMIX, said: “For precise placement of small volumes, bone graft can be applied via MEDMIX luer cannulas. Different lengths and diameters are available. Removing the threaded syringe cap allows dispensing of bigger putty.â€
MEDMIX offers a range of syringes which allow pre-filling of bone graft. It focuses exclusively on the technology of liquid, paste and powder mixing and its applications in the medical field.
