Ausco and Great American Insurance Company form liability partnership
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999The relationship will expand Great American Insurance Company's exposure to the non-profit sector and greatly enhance its market position to underwrite employment practices liability coverage. The new service will be provided by Great American's Executive Liability Division, which has underwritten non-profit directors' and officers' (D&O) liability for over 15 years. Ausco, an indirect subsidiary of Aon, is a managing general underwriter, which has been providing coverage for non-profit organizations since 1981. Ausco will be underwriting Great American's ExecPro Employment Practices Liability Insurance Policy for certain industry segments. "The Great American relationship enables us to capitalize on the great franchise value of two specialty companies in the packaging and delivery of comprehensive, cost competitive products to this market," said Diane DiOrio, managing director of Ausco.
