Yamagata Green selects B&W Volund's technology for power generation
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) Volund licenses its biomass gasification technology for power plants around the world and most recently supplied combined cycle gasification technology for use in up to 25 combined heat and power plants in southern Italy. Richard Killion, president and COO of the B&W Power Generation Group, said: "B&W Volund's updraft gasification technology is a proven and reliable choice for customers requiring high-efficiency options for biomass combustion. This is especially true in Japan and other countries in Asia and Europe, as power providers look to meet the environmental guidelines of the Kyoto protocol."
