FMC to acquire 45% stake in Schilling Robotics
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999The acquisition partners two companies whose technologies enable subsea energy production worldwide. FMC manufactures and supplies subsea production systems, while Schilling Robotics is a producer of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), ROV manipulator systems, control systems, and other high-technology equipment and services for oil and gas subsea exploration and production. In addition to its expected purchase of 45% of Schilling by 2008 year-end, FMC Technologies is acquiring the rights to exercise an option over the two-year period beginning in 2012 to acquire the remaining 55% of the company.
