FMC Technologies wins subsea equipment contract from StatoilHydro
This contract is a call-off from a previously announced frame agreement signed by StatoilHydro in 2007 with FMC Technologies. FMC's scope of supply includes three subsea production trees and two water injection trees to increase oil recovery (IOR) at the Heidrun North field. FMC will also supply 10 tubing hangers, six control systems and three flow control modules. All equipment will be manufactured at FMC's Kongsberg, Norway and Dunfermline, Scotland facilities with deliveries scheduled to occur during 2010. Tore Halvorsen, FMC's senior vice president of global subsea production systems, said: "We have a strong relationship with StatoilHydro, including joint efforts to develop IOR technology. Heidrun was StatoilHydro's first field to utilize our water injection technologies and we are proud to be a part of their IOR initiatives."
