EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions Salles-Curan wind farm
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999Located in the Aveyron department on the windy Levezou plateau at Salles-Curan, west of Millau, this 87MW project comprises 29 wind turbines, each rated at 3MW. The wind turbines were supplied by Vestas. The Salles-Curan facility represents the company's 18th wind farm in France, where it now has over 345MW of capacity in service. David Corchia, CEO of EDF Energies Nouvelles, said: "In the wake of the recently commissioned Chemin d'Ablis and Villeseque facilities, this new wind farm lifts the total capacity brought into service in France this year to 190MW."
