CNPC begins commercial production at Kelameili Phase-1 project
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has said that the Kelameili gas field has a proven reserve of 100 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas, the first reserve of this size ever discovered around the Junggar Basin. The gas field is operated by the PetroChina Xinjiang Oilfield Company and is being developed in two phases, with planned annual capacity of 1bcm for the first phase project.
