Caltex reports fuel supply shortages in Queensland, News South Wales
Caltex has said that the shortages will impact diesel, unleaded petrol, premium unleaded petrol 95, premium unleaded petrol 98 and E10 in the coming days. The tight supply availability is due to the unscheduled shutdown of Caltex's Lytton refinery for a day following a loss of steam to the refinery. The refinery is being progressively brought back to full production in line with normal operating procedures. Caltex has had to restrict the total supply of fuel from its Lytton refinery and, as a result, stock-outs can be expected at various service stations. Caltex is reportedly exploring all options to supplement supply including local purchases from other refiners and sourcing of imports. Arrangements have been put in place to ensure emergency services vehicles remain supplied with fuel, the company has said.
