The French oil services company Technip has secured a contract from the oil and gas producer EnQuest Britain for the development of the Alma and Galia fields near Scotland.

The fields, which will be tied back to the EnQuest Producer floating production storage and offloading unit, are located 310 kilometres south-east of Aberdeen at a water depth of approximately 80 metres.

Work under the contract includes the installation of flowlines and two production-control umbilicals/risers, the assembly of steel tubes/hydraulic hoses and the fabrication and installation of a 175-ton manifold structure.

Technip’s operating centre in Aberdeen will execute the contract. Vessels from the Technip fleet will be used for the campaign including the Skandi Arctic and the Orelia, as well as third-party vessels.
