Zagg appoints new vice president of sales and marketing
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999Mr Smith has previous experience as the general manager and director for Queensland Olives Management, where he recruited and trained a national sales force and worked closely with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). As vice president of sales and marketing, Mr Smith will be responsible for the strategic marketing and sales programs that will drive brand recognition and demand for Zagg's products and services. In addition to planning, organizing and managing all marketing functions, Mr Smith will work together with public relations to ensure consistent and proper media coverage. He will assume an active role in both directing growth efforts and working with national and international distributors. Robert Pedersen II, president and CEO of Zagg, said: "Derek brings a tremendous knowledge-base and extensive management experience to the company, and we are thrilled to have him in a key executive position as we continue to grow. He has a keen understanding of what we want to accomplish, and his talents and leadership abilities will be crucial to our success."
