Mr Martin was most recently vice president of footwear in EMEA, where he saw an increase in Nike's footwear business and presence in the region. Charlie Denson said: "We're thrilled to have someone of Jill's caliber head our global Nike apparel team. She brings a passion for Nike coupled with rich experience leading both our European and Asia Pacific regions, which will be invaluable as we continue driving growth and brand leadership in apparel worldwide. I would like to thank Roger for his outstanding efforts. We are grateful for his fantastic work, and while we will miss him at world head quarters, we're very pleased he's staying with the Nike family by leading Hurley as CEO."
