1-800-Flowers.com selects EMC information infrastructure solution

The company's three production storage area networks (SANs) in the US include five EMC Symmetrix and 15 EMC CLARiiON networked storage systems, which are optimized using EMC Control Center storage resource management software. 1-800-Flowers.com also uses EMC TimeFinder to locally replicate information to support its business continuity strategy, increase application availability and reduce scheduled downtime. Additionally, 1-800-Flowers.com recently purchased an EMC Celerra NS350 integrated system to support its IP-based information lifecycle management (ILM) strategy. Steve Bozzo, chief information officer of 1-800-Flowers.com, said: "We need to be able to quickly bring in data and keep it available and accessible for all our mission critical customer-facing, financial, inventory, fulfillment and analytical applications.
