UK-based Newcastle Hardwood launches design division
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999RASKL, the name of which comes from an acronym of the directors, will specialize in bespoke furniture design. Having created furniture for the Alnwick Garden tree house project for the Duchess of Northumberland, other projects in line include stylized one-off pieces such as an American Walnut and cream suede chair, coffee table design using cladded plate steel to name a few. Dan Rose, the director of RASKL, is quoted by Housebuilder & Developer magazine as saying that they aim to grow the business to such an extent that they can stop using the machinery themselves and become totally focused on design. He also added that they are working closely with individuals and companies to create pieces that really fire the imagination.
