Turner To Manage $31m Expansion of PGE Park In Portland
Construction is underway and upon completion in spring 2011, PGE Park will become home to the Portland Timbers MLS team.
The scope of work includes the construction of a training facility, club seating with full-service restaurant, grandstands with concessions, a roof structure to cover the stands and a new playing field to accommodate the Federation Internationale de Football Association and Major League Soccer guidelines.
In addition, Turner will manage construction of a 12,000 sq. ft. sports training and rehabilitation facility that will be integrated in to the East side seating area and will serve the neighborhood year round.
Dan Kavanaugh, vice president and general manager of Portland operations at Turner, said: “We are proud to manage the construction of this stadium facility for the benefit of the fans and surrounding community of Portland.”
