SRG Renews Leases with Quiksilver
By NS Admin Published 20 January 2011Quiksilver designs, produces and distributes clothing, accessories and related products for young-minded people.
The agreements provide Quiksilver with approximately 400,000 square feet of office and warehouse space through 2024. Quiksilver will create a new corporate campus for its three main divisions: Quiksilver, Roxy and DC.
SRG acquired the 28-acre site in 1997, redeveloping the property with new and rehabilitated buildings. West County Commerce Center totals 1,040,000 square feet of space. The space leased by Quiksilver is at: 5600 Argosy Ave., Suite 100 (223,406 square feet); 5600 Argosy Ave., Suite 200 (101,618 square feet); and 15202 Graham St. (81,120 square feet).
Rob Socci and Joe Miller of Voit real estate services represented Quiksilver. SRG was self-represented by Vince Ciavarella, president of the company's commercial property services division, and Michael Wood, director of leasing.
Bob McKnight, chairman and CEO of Quiksilver, said: “We actively looked at several other Orange County sites for our company. Our long relationship with SRG was a key factor in our decision to remain in the West County Commerce Center. SRG understands our business and what we need from our facilities. They have been an excellent landlord and property manager.â€
John Hagestad, managing director of SRG, said: “Quiksilver is one of our longest term tenants, first moving to the West County Commerce Center in 1997. We have a substantial relationship with Quiksilver and worked diligently to keep them in place.
“There's hardly a business that hasn't been affected by the latest recession. Quiksilver was no exception. My hat is off to Bob McKnight and his management team for creating a new strategic blueprint for their future.â€
