Sheraton Reading Hotel to undergo makeover
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999According to hotel officials, the refurbishment focuses on the business traveler and on business meetings. The hotel is managed by Meyer Jabara, since it was acquired in 1998. The firm owns 25 hotels along the East Coast.The management is planning for the renovation before handing over the reins to a new team. They said that the renovation will be done in a phased manner to the five-storey building. The renovations included a new façade and an upgrade of all computer systems. The hotel rooms are outfitted with new bedding, carpeting, wall coverings, televisions, art, and bathroom tiling; guest hallways, new artwork, carpeting and wall coverings. Executive lounge, the ballroom, new fitness center, and a pool area are also part of renovation.
