Rangers Ballpark in Arlington undergoes renovation
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999The renovations to the ballpark include a video display board replacing the manual scoreboard, premium seats behind the home plate, new outfield wall padding, new third-Base Commissioner's Box which adds 66 up-close seats.The renovations also include replacing the outfield wall padding, installation of three full-color 1,276 feet, LED panels around most of the ballpark, and construction of a brick facade at field level in front of the lower stands.Nolan Ryan, president of Rangers, says, "We think the new video board is going to give fans to see replays, and then we'll have the ribbon board, which will us an opportunity to advertise and also bring excitement to the ballpark. I think it's going to increase the fan experience here."
