London’s Garden History museum undergoes renovation
The museum was designed by the architecture firm, Dow Jones Architects. The newly designed space will provide more room to accommodate the museum’s permanent collection as well as exhibitions and events.Since 1977, the Museum has used the interior space of the church to house a permanent collection of gardening implements, techniques, and design. However, the church’s original design did not provide the necessary exhibition space for the collection. The aim behind the renovation was to increase space within the museum to accommodate temporary exhibits, lectures, seminars and events. The museum’s new interior is made from Eurban, a prefabricated structural timber material.
