Jacobs Receives New Contract From Cessna
Services will be provided from Jacobs' office in Madrid, Spain. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2011. Officials did not disclose the contract value.
According to Jacobs, the new facility in Valencia will augment the Cessna Citation Service Center in Paris. It will include 64,000 square feet (6,000 square meters) of hangar space and about 88,264 square feet (8,200 square meters) of office, storage and shop space. Operations at the Service Center are scheduled to begin in 2012.
Cessna plans to begin hiring employees next year and will work with FlightSafety International to fulfill maintenance training requirements.
Jack Pelton, chairman, president and CEO of Cessna, said: “We are very happy to have Jacobs' expertise involved in this project. With some 400 Citations within a 90-minute radius of the Valencia airport, it is a prime location to improve delivery throughout the region.”
