Galliford Try Wins £28m Thames Water Contract
By NS Admin Published 19 March 2010The contract is part of a £40m project at Long Reach to help clean up the River Thames, by providing additional treatment processes to improve the quality of treated effluent returned to the river.
The project includes the construction of aeration lanes, a final settlement tank, electricity substation, sludge storage building and blower house as well as modifications to existing facilities. Construction is expected to start this spring 2010, and is due for completion in 2012.
Greg Fitzgerald, CEO of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Thames Water by securing this important contract that is additional to the projects carried out through our existing framework. It further reinforces our leading position as a contractor to the water industry and adds to our order book in this resilient sector.”
