Elated Worldwide to create new amusement park in Cozumel, Mexico
By NS Admin Published 30 November 1999Called "Mayan Adventures", the park will covers 60 acres for which the master plan is currently being developed in two phases. Construction of the amusement park will begin later this year.The first phase of the project will involve creating a water park attraction with operations expected to begin by 2010. Other water attraction structures planned include a children’s pirates play structure, a relaxing man-made beach area and a white water rapids inner-tube ride. The water park attraction will be the first of its kind in the island of Cozumel’s.The second phase of the park will involve creating one thrill ride, three indoor/outdoor high speed coaster rides, an indoor and an outdoor stage show as well as enriching educational presentations on the Mayan culture. The second phase is expected to begin its operations by 2012.California- based DKY Architects and Elated Worldwide Group will work to create new concepts such as introducing restaurants, hotels and retail outlets.Elated Worldwide Corporation is a privately held company that provides investors, government and consumers’ cost-effective vacation experiences.
