EGS Wins Three-year Contract Extension
EMCOR’s contract at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory began in October 2008 and will now be extended through September 2014.
EGS will continue to perform a wide range of services at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, including maintenance support to the Space Flight Operations Facility, diagnostic services including thermography and vibration analysis, HVAC operations and maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance, elevator maintenance, crane maintenance, and major equipment repair.
Additionally EMCOR will provide services relating to disaster response, energy and water conservation.
A provider of critical infrastructure systems, EMCOR gives life to new structures and sustains life in existing ones by its planning, installing, operating, maintaining, and protecting the dynamic systems that create facility environments - such as electrical, mechanical, lighting, air conditioning, heating, security, fire protection, and power generation systems - in virtually every sector of the economy and for a diverse range of businesses, organizations and government.
Michael Shelton, president and CEO of EGS, said: “It means a lot to us that the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory has recognized EGS with a three-year extension to our contract, which is a very exciting assignment for us.
“We are proud of the work we have accomplished over the past three years with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, one of the most advanced and sophisticated facilities in the world, and another example of the complex and comprehensive services we are able to offer clients.â€
