Skanska and Trident secure $110m contract from South Carolina
Work under the contract involves renovation of Gaillard Municipal Auditorium, Charleston.

In a joint venture with Trident Construction, the Swedish construction group Skanska has secured a $110m contract from the City of Charleston, South Carolina, for renovation and new construction services at the Gaillard Municipal Auditorium.
Skanska’s share of the contract is 70 per cent – approximately $77m – which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA's building for the third quarter of 2012.
The Gaillard Centre project includes the addition of a 1,800 seat multi-purpose auditorium, a 3,600-square-metre exhibition hall and a new three-story, 7,500-square-metre municipal office building for city employees.
The project, the largest in Charleston, will begin in August and is expected to completed by December 2014.
Headquartered in New York, Skanska USA has approximately 9,400 employees.
