Winnebago Names New CEO
Mr Potts has joined the firm in 1983 as senior tool designer and was associated with various engineering and management positions.
In 2009, Mr Potts was promoted to senior vice president of strategic planning and was responsible for new business development for the company. From 2006 to 2009, Mr Potts has served as vice president of manufacturing at Winnebago.
Mr Olson said: â€œRandy has been instrumental in helping to guide our Company through challenging times and expanding our business footprint with the recent acquisition of SunnyBrook RV. His experience and vision make him uniquely qualified to assume the additional duties of CEO and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role.â€
Bob Olson will serve as chairman of the board in order to focus on the firm's overall direction.
In March 2011, Winnebago Industries has named Bruce Heusinkveld as production manager. In his new position, Mr Heusinkveld is responsible for the production of motor homes on Line One in the firms main motor home assembly facility which produces primarily Class A gas engine motor homes.
Winnebago's recreation vehicles are used primarily in leisure travel and outdoor recreation activities. It builds quality motor homes, travel trailers and fifth wheel products under the Winnebago, Itasca, ERA and SunnyBrook brand names. Other products manufactured by the company consist primarily of original equipment manufacturing (OEM) parts, including extruded aluminum and other component products for other manufacturers and commercial vehicles.
As of August 29, 2010, the motor home and towable dealer organization in the US and Canada included approximately 230 and 179 dealer locations respectively.
