WABCO Names Chief Quality Officer
WABCO further strengthens its senior leadership team and continued commitment to its three - pillar strategy of technology leadership, global expansion and excellence in execution. Mr Kawashima is responsible for further powering how WABCO ingrains quality across the value chain throughout its global organization.
Further enhancing WABCOâ€™s operating system, one of the commercial vehicle industryâ€™s most advanced management systems, he will reinforce the companyâ€™s capabilities to satisfy customer expectations for quality, service and value.
Mr Kawashima was president of Ichikoh Industries, a publicly listed company in Japan and manufacturer of vehicular lighting supplied to the automotive industry. Previously, he was vice president of quality based in Paris at Valeo, one of the automotive suppliers.
Before that, Mr Kawashima held senior positions in quality, operations and engineering based in Japan and Mexico at Nissan Motor Company, a vehicle manufacturer.
