Titan Introduces New Tire Line Up
By NS Admin Published 24 March 2011According to the company, 007 MFT mining tire product line is introduced to offer enhanced durability, a more aggressive tread pattern and improved heat dissipation. The introduction of new key sizes of radial OTR tire lineup includes the Titan LDR 250 and the Titan MXL.
The 007 MFT tire is designed to run in difficult environments where casing penetration and sidewall cuts are a major issue. Titan testing shows that the nylon casing design ran 15 percent cooler than the steel casing in an equivalent tire. This makes the tire less susceptible to sidewall fatigue and cut damage, making the casing more retreadable.
The IT525’s design provides for a longer-wearing, smoother ride for operators that spend a significant amount of time working on concrete or asphalt. The robust sidewall of the IT525 provides the strength needed to run over obstacles such as curbs, rocks and construction materials, while the lug spacing helps to minimize tire penetration and damage, while improving traction in soft soils.
With an L5 tread design, the LDR 250 is ideal for large loaders in the harshest of pit and quarry settings where tread life and rock damage are major concerns. The MXL is built for use with both front-bucket loaders and graders in light duty settings.
The DTE4 offers a radial construction and a deep lug tread pattern that provides enhanced durability, excellent heat dissipation and superior traction in harsh mining conditions.
The DTE4 features E-4 tread depth that promotes long tread life and excellent traction, while the open, non-directional tread pattern provides for excellent self cleaning and extra bite on the ground. A open center tread design helps reduce internal heat generation and allows the heat to more easily dissipate, reducing tire fatigue and extending tire life.
Will the new lineup enhance sales of Titan?
