Thor Appoints New General Counsel
Mr Lawrence will report to Peter Orthwein, chairman, president and CEO of the company.
Mr Lawrence has practiced law for over 25 years and has extensive experience as general counsel of public and private companies. He was most recently executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Aprimo and led the sale of Aprimo to Teradata Corporation in January 2011.
Prior to Aprimo, Mr Lawrence held senior legal positions at several NYSE listed companies including ADESA, an auto auctions and dealer financing, Thomson Consumer Electronics, a provider of consumer electronics and technology with its RCA, GE and Technicolor brands and OHM Corporation, an environmental services company.
Sales for the second quarter ended January 31, 2011 was $526.22m, an increase of 22 percent compared to $430.02m for the same period in 2010. Net income for the quarter was $5.68m, down from $11.92m in 2010.
Thor Industries has three segments: towable recreation vehicles, motorized recreation vehicles and buses. ElDorado National manufactures and sells buses under trade names, such as Aerolite, AeroElite, Aerotech, Escort, MST, Transmark, EZ Rider, and Axess, its 40 foot bus.
