Titanic II: "It will be the most safe cruise ship in the world when it launches" - business quote of the day

Still convincing after all these years.

Australian billionaire Clive Palmer has revealed plans to build Titanic II,  a working "full-scale re-creation" of the Titanic, which sank in 1912.

The ship will be made in China and begin carrying passengers in the third quarter of 2016. Using - get this - exact blueprints of the original.

A Blue Line representative told Mashable, "It will be the most safe cruise ship in the world when it launches."

Unsinkable, eh? Sure we've heard that one somewhere before.

This will "definitely not" happen again. Photograph: Getty Images
