Tablet PCs dominate the Las Vegas Electronics show

As rumours of Apple's launch of its tablet later this month float, Dell, Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard

Tablet PCs feature touch-screens that eliminate the need for a keyboard. The Dell tablet, a prototype with a five-inch screen, is expected to go on sale during the first half of this year.

Lenovo's IdeaPad U1 tablet, which looks like a flip laptop with a keyboard and 11.6-inch screen, comes with a detachable screen converting it into a tablet. IdealPad U1, price at $1000, will be on sale later this year. Tablets typically range from $1,000 or more.
