Papandreou denies Greece needs EU bailout
Greek premier George Papandreou has denied speculation that his country will need a bailout by the E
At the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, he said Greece was being targeted as a weak link of the eurozone by speculators and others with "ulterior motives".
The French newspaper Le Monde had carried a report suggesting the EU was considering a massive bailout for Greece due to speculation that the country may look to China to support its bond issue.
Germany and France have also denied reports that they are in talks with Greece for a bailout package.
Meanwhile, Germany's Economics Minister Rainer Brüderle has said that a few European nations are exhibiting dangerous weaknesses which could have fatal consequences for all countries in the eurozone.
