French winery to launch THE brand series of wines in US

Gourmet Passions and Arnoux et Fils to launch new series of southern Rhone wines in US.

Gourmets Passions and Arnoux et Fils, a French winery, will launch a new series of southern Rhone wines under the brand name THE Wines, in the US. This new selection of wines will hit retail shelves across the country for the 2010 holiday season.

Each wine in THE range is labeled with its nickname used in-house at the vineyard - Vacqueyras: THE VAC; Gigondas - THE GIG; Chateauneuf du Pape - THE CHATO9. The winery claims that these wines are fruit-forward and well-balanced.

In addition to these wines, THE portfolio also includes Cotes du Rhone Red, Cotes du Rhone White, Cotes du Rhone Rose.

Gourmets Passions president Stephane Lombardi said that THE wines are exceptional blends of mainly Grenache and Syrah, that are vinified, aged, and bottled in-house, and are always the product of low-yield, meticulously selected and harvested grapes.

Arnoux et Fils (Arnoux and Sons) is family-owned and operated in Vacqueyras, France, since 1717, and their crus have international presence.
