Burger King Canada introduces WHIPLASH WHOPPER

New sandwich available for a limited time only

Burger King Restaurants of Canada has introduced new WHIPLASH WHOPPER at participating Canadian restaurants nationwide. This sandwich, which is said to be the spiciest to hit Canadian menus, is available for a limited time only.

Burger King Canada senior director of marketing Jason Keown said that this winter, the company is defying the cold and heating things up, and it has taken its world-famous WHOPPER Sandwich and spiced it up with zesty, hot flavors.

Served on a traditional WHOPPER bun, the WHIPLASH WHOPPER features a beef patty, two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, red peppers, spiced mayo, along with fresh lettuce, tomato, and ketchup.

The WHIPLASH WHOPPER is now available at participating Burger King restaurants across Canada until 13 February 2011.

The traditional WHOPPER Sandwich will remain on the menu, with both sandwiches available during breakfast hours.

Burger King Canada will launch a national advertising campaign to support the launch, including television, radio and online ads.

The Burger King system operates around 12,150 restaurants in all 50 states and in 76 countries and US territories worldwide.

Approximately 90% of Burger King restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them family-owned operations.
