Showbiz agency expands with new London video unit

Splash News TV builds on success of its videon stream service.

Showbiz news agency Splash claims that it has now hit one billion video downloads.

Launched in 2007, Splash News TV is now broadcast in over 30 countries on web, mobile and TV platforms.

According to Splash, it hits over one million individual video streams a day and passed the one billion mark last month.

It is now expanding its video operation further with the launch of a three-person video production unit in London.

The British-owned agency now has offices across the US, in London and elsewhere around the world.

Co-founder Gary Morgan said: "We hit a billion streams worldwide and the UK is a key component of this video service expansion. We had tremendous success in 2010 with the direct to consumer video show SNTV.
