The recently fired actor Charlie Sheen may be in line for a job after it was reported that TV networks were in negotiations with him.
Sheen, who caused controversy this year with a drug addiction and public remarks criticising his employer and colleagues, is said to be courting interest from CBS and Fox. NBC News stated that sources close to Sheen had revealed knowledge of the offers.
CBS, which broadcasts the hit show Two and a Half Men, in which Sheen stars, declined to comment, along with Warner Brothers, who make the show.
According to Forbes, CBS and Warner Brothers make around $2.89m in advertising revenue for every half our show.
Since Sheen's acrimonious departure, his public profile has soared, with over 3m followers on Twitter and selling out a series of one-man stage shows in the US.
